State-owned logistics agency (Bulog) announced that it has opened 2,500 Rumah Pangan Kita (Our Ration House) outlets selling inexpensive basic food commodities all over Indonesia.
"Until mid October, we have opened 2,500 outlets. Our target next year is that the outlets will be present in every community units (RW)," said Bulog Commercial Director Karyawan Gunarso in Subang on Friday (21/10).
According to Karyawan, most of the outlets are available in Java, followed by Sumatra.
The outlets were established by Bulog in collaboration with the third parties, both individual or communities and other business groups.
Karyawan added that the point of the establishment of the outlets is give ease to the residents in getting food commodities at low prices.
